Rotary Scholarship Recipient: Keira Yi
Mount Pisgah Christian School is delighted to celebrate 10th grade student Keira Yi. Keira was recently awarded the Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship.
She is one of only six students in Georgia to be awarded this prestigious scholarship. This award affords her the opportunity to study abroad for the upcoming school year.
At the recent “reveal event”, Keira found out she will be studying abroad in Spain. In the interim, she will prepare by studying Spanish culture and language.
Once there, she will live with three different host families while attending school. Keira will seek full immersion in the culture by participating in clubs and sports, traveling to different parts of Spain and interacting with fellow students abroad.
“I’ve always wanted to study abroad. I really hope that this year creates unique memories that I will never forget and my mind will be open to a whole new lifestyle.”
