THIS IS SENIOR YEAR
Senior traditions at MPCS
For the Class of 2027, senior year is officially underway, bringing with it the traditions and experiences that make the final year at Mount Pisgah so memorable.
Before classes even began, seniors made their mark on campus by painting their parking spots (and braving some serious rain while doing so!). From Curious George and Barbie to inspirational quotes and favorite Bible verses, each space now offers a glimpse into the personalities of this year’s senior class.
The traditions continued on the first day of school, with tiaras and pink boas and even throwback backpacks featuring favorite childhood characters and designs. The next morning, seniors gathered in the Meditation Garden for Senior Sunrise, a special time set aside for bringing this class together and preparing for the year ahead.
The Class of 2027 has also begun looking ahead to life beyond Mount Pisgah. Seniors and their parents recently gathered for the College Application Kickoff, where our counselors shared guidance and resources to help families navigate the application process. College fairs and other opportunities throughout the year will continue to support students as they take their next steps.
And there are plenty more events ahead. Seniors will participate in Alpha and Omega events, a beloved tradition that pairs them with Kindergarten buddies and connects two important milestones in the MPCS journey. They’ll also travel with their Upper School classmates to SharpTop Cove and enjoy senior lunches, Senior Getaway Days, the annual Senior Tree Lighting during the holidays, and other moments created especially for the Class of 2027.
Knowing that this is a pivotal and often intense year for parents of these seniors, too, parents of the Class of 2027 have the opportunity to connect through their own events as well, including a Senior Parent Coffee later in August.
Each experience offers another opportunity to grow in faith, deepen relationships, celebrate how far they’ve come, and make the most of their final year together. We can’t wait to see all that’s ahead for the Class of 2027.
