Signing Day: Joy Chane

Congratulations to senior Joy Chane on his commitment today to continue his career as a student-athlete by signing to play football at Washington University in St. Louis.

“Today is a special day, not only for Mount Pisgah Football, but also for the Chane family. We’ve all observed Joy’s growth on and off the field, and have witnessed all that he’s given back to the Mount Pisgah Community,” said Coach Elijer Martinez. “I’m so proud of the leader he’s become and Washington University is getting a well-rounded kid. We look forward to cheering him on at the next level.”

Chane’s accomplishments during his high school career include earning First Team Defense in 2020, 2021 & 2022, All-State Honorable Mention in 2022, and the “Will to Live” award.

He is a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and also served as team captain.

Chane led the team in tackles, finishing with 104, helping the Patriots to the Elite 8 in 2022.

Congratulations to Joy on this achievement and his next steps as a student-athlete!

He joins nine other Mount Pisgah athletes who have signed so far this year: Monet Dance, basketball at William and Mary; Erin Parker, softball at the University of North Carolina; Madison Nichols, soccer at the United States Military Academy at West Point; Kaden Alford, baseball at Young Harris College; Joey Bertrand, wrestling at Minot State University; Makael Carter, football at Washington State University; Aaron Kruse, football at the University of Pennsylvania; Brady Nardella, wrestling at Huntingdon College; and Tyler Nelson, wrestling at UNC Pembroke.
