PATRIOT ART TAKES FLIGHT

Junior Bobby Diamond’s artwork represents Scotland, Freshman Annika Leber’s piece showcases Ecuador, and Freshman Katja Pearson’s work depicts Morocco. Their art will be displayed for six months beginning in late February in Concourse E near the food court, where travelers from around the globe will experience their creativity firsthand.

All three students are part of Upper School art classes led by Hope Steele, whose instruction challenges young artists not just to refine technique, but to develop their own artistic voice.

This kind of opportunity doesn’t happen by accident. Part of our Fine Arts department, the Visual Arts program at Mount Pisgah is designed to help each student grow in their personal artistic process, regardless of prior experience or skill level. For many, art becomes a way to explore their inner world and bring it to light in a safe and supportive environment.

From hands-on experimentation in Lower School, to expanded electives in Middle School, to advanced portfolio work and National Art Honor Society opportunities in Upper School, students are encouraged to discover how they want to make their mark, and how they want to share it with the world.

Seeing Patriot artwork on display in an international setting like this is a powerful reminder of where this process can lead.
