MIDDLE SCHOOL TENNIS DOMINATES THE COURT
Near undefeated season leads to first-place division standing

The Middle School tennis team at Mount Pisgah Christian School is having a remarkable season, creating a new high water mark for the program since its inception at the school. Both boys and girls’ tennis teams finished first in the Metro10 regular season standings, with records of 10-1 and 11-0 respectively.
Strong Performances Across the Court
On December 4, both teams advanced to the semifinals of the Metro10 playoffs and will be competing at Whitefield Academy on Wednesday, December 10th, in the semis and, with a win, the Metro10 finals. Both teams sit firmly in first place in their division, a testament to their hard work and determination.
From the opening match, this group has played with confidence. The singles lines have been especially strong, showing focus and consistency in every competition. Doubles teams have stepped up as well, working together with smart movement and solid net play that keeps opponents guessing.
One of the biggest reasons for their success is their ability to adjust on the fly. Every team they face brings a different challenge, and our players have learned to read the court, shift their strategies, and stay composed under pressure.
Leadership Sets the Tone
Coach Clay Kelsh and Coach Ellen Perry set the tone for the season with steady leadership and a deep understanding of the game. They model confidence, resilience, and strong sportsmanship, and the players clearly follow their example. "I am thrilled by the peformance of our players," says Coach Ellen Perry, "each player has become thoughtful and determi with their skills as the season progresses." Coach Perry adds that she is looking forward to the match on December 10 and is working to keep the athletes focused on their wins, one point at a time.
Looking Ahead
With semi-finals ahead, excitement continues to build. The entire Mount Pisgah community is cheering for this group as they work toward finishing what has already been an extraordinary season. No matter what happens next, they have shown what it means to compete with purpose, pride, and a true team spirit.
