As an advocate for faculty development, Mrs. Finch has conducted over 200 hours of professional development workshops for teachers across Georgia, covering topics such as instructional technology, curriculum mapping, and data-driven teaching strategies. She has also consulted with numerous schools as an SAIS Accreditation Team Chair.

Our current principal, Mr. Rogers, will continue to serve our community next year in a new position that he is uniquely qualified for and excited about. Mr. Rogers has been at Mount Pisgah for 20 years as a teacher and administrator, and I am grateful for his dedication and the positive impact he has made during his tenure. Furthermore, I look forward to seeing him thrive in his new role.

Mrs. Finch holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. Her experience leading academic initiatives and commitment to instructional excellence set her apart in a nationwide search. As she met with faculty and leadership during the interview process, it became clear that Mrs. Finch was the right person to lead our Middle School community.

Beyond her professional credentials, Mrs. Finch’s faith in Christ is central to her leadership and calling. She is excited to step into this role and continue Mount Pisgah’s tradition of excellence in middle school education.

Mrs. Finch is excited to return to the metro Atlanta area. Before moving to Augusta in 2015, she previously taught at Lovett and Wesleyan. She is married to Charlie Finch, a native of Atlanta who served as the Associate Athletic Director at Lovett for many years, and they have one daughter, Kaylee Charles Finch who will be entering 10th grade next year. The Finches are a track and field family; both Kendra Sue and Charlie have coached track for many years, and their daughter Kaylee Charles is a distance runner. In their spare time the Finches enjoy exploring new places for Kaylee Charles to run, and going to the beach. The Finches are thrilled to be joining the Mount Pisgah family, and they look forward to connecting, growing, and serving alongside the other members of the Mount Pisgah community.

We are working on a time this spring for parents and students to meet Mrs. Finch, and we look forward to welcoming her into our community.
