Mrs. Maggi Jagannathan MPCS Parent,`27 and Board of Trustees Member
A Family Connection to Mount Pisgah For Board of Trustees Member Mrs. Maggi Jagannathan, Mount Pisgah Christian School has become a defining part of her and her family’s story. Since joining Mount Pisgah Church in 2010 and enrolling their son, Joshua `27, at MPCS shortly after, she and her husband have experienced firsthand the deep sense of connection and shared purpose that characterizes our community.
Together, their family has grown alongside and been shaped by the school and church community. Reflecting on their time, Maggi shares, from the very beginning, “We felt welcomed as part of a larger family that truly cares for one another,” Adding, “Faith and family have always been central to our lives,” making MPCS feel like a home for their family.
Appreciation and Service “What motivated me to serve on the MPCS Board of Trustees is the deep appreciation I have for the school and the impact it has had on our family,” she explained. “I wanted the opportunity to give back to a community that has poured so much into our son and our family.”
As a Board Member, Maggi values the opportunity to help support the long-term mission and future of the school. Her perspective as a current Pisgah parent and enterprise experience as a Senior Manager at OpenText bring both a unique personal insight and impactful acumen to the Board.
Maggi enjoys working alongside the other Board Members and MPCS Leadership who care deeply about Christian education and the overall impact of the Mount Pisgah Community. She wholeheartedly believes in the mission of the school to create a Christ-centered environment where students are known, supported, and encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, and be prepared for what's ahead.
Preparing Students for Life Beyond the Classroom As an upper school parent, she believes “MPCS challenges students to think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, and take ownership of their learning, all while being supported by teachers who genuinely care about their growth.” What she appreciates most is the school’s commitment to developing the whole child by focusing on faith, modeling servant leadership, and providing memorable student life experiences.
She recalls Joshua’s mission trip to Kentucky last year as a meaningful experience for their family. Watching him step outside his comfort zone to serve others was a powerful example of how the school encourages students to live out their faith in tangible ways.
“Experiences like these help students understand that their education is not only about achievement, but also about making a positive impact on others,” she reflected. She enjoys that Pisgah views “service as an essential part of developing Christ-centered leaders, not just a requirement.”
“The result is well-rounded young adults who are prepared for the next stage of life with confidence and faith,” she added.
Looking Ahead With Confidence Looking towards the future, Maggi is encouraged by the strategic vision guiding Mount Pisgah Christian School and excited about the investments being made to strengthen the whole student experience.
“What excites me most about the future of Mount Pisgah Christian School is its continued commitment to growth, excellence, and innovation while staying grounded in its Christian mission and values,” she says. Whether it’s through the intentional investments currently being made at the Patriot Athletics Campus (PAC) or through additional student programs and experiences, “I look forward to seeing the school impact future generations of students.”
