SERVING WITH PURPOSE
Mr. Brian Ranck, Vice Chair, MPCS Board

For Mr. Brian Ranck, service is not simply something he does, it is a calling that has shaped his relationship with Mount Pisgah Christian School over the past ten years. “I believe in serving and giving back with my time, talent, and treasure,” Ranck shared. This belief continues to guide his leadership as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees.
A Little Bit About Brian
Brian and his wife, Christy, live in Sandy Springs and together have three children. He is an Executive Director in the Atlanta office of Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management.
Their MPCS story began after hearing about our school through their friends who already had students attending. Hearing these stories and the impact MPCS was making with their friends led their family to enroll their son Thomas during sixth grade.
At the time, sixth grade was the first year in Middle School, and with that, came Thomas’ first trip to SharpTop Cove. Mr. Ranck recalls that experience being one of the most impactful memories for both him and his son, saying, “Since the trip takes place at the beginning of the school year, it allows new students (like Thomas) to connect with their classmates and teachers, and feel fully welcomed into the MPCS community.”
Thomas graduated from MPCS in 2021, and his years here left a lasting impression and prompted a deep gratitude for the entire Ranck family. Reflecting on that season, Brian shared, “I can honestly say that MPCS not only prepared my son for college, but also for everything else he may encounter in his life.”
Giving Back, Towards the Future
For Mr. Ranck, the gratitude he felt for the school naturally grew into a desire to give back. Serving on the Board of Trustees has allowed Brian to help ensure that future students will experience the same Christ-centered education that shaped his own family. “Serving on the Board of Trustees has allowed me to help ensure that students many years from now will have the same wonderful experience my son had.”
Mr. Ranck is especially encouraged by the strategic vision guiding the school towards its future. He is confident about the partnership between the Board of Trustees and school leadership, noting that “the board and school leadership, under the direction of Dr. Chris Harmon, work towards a plan to address the ongoing and everchanging needs of our students, families and community.” Brian values the board’s long-term perspective and vision, citing that “As a board, we try to make plans with a multigenerational mindset.” Decisions that are made and impact today, still carefully consider the impact on future families.
In closing, Mr. Ranck shared his confidence in Mount Pisgah Christian School’s mission and impact. He believes MPCS prepares students well beyond academics, shaping young people whose faith is lived out in meaningful ways. This commitment, seen daily in classrooms, relationships, and leadership decisions, is what allows Mount Pisgah to continue making a real and lasting difference in the Johns Creek community.
