Beyond the Classroom 2026
Living the MPCS Mission Near and Far
At Mount Pisgah Christian School, education is intentionally designed to reach beyond campus. This year, MPCS Upper School students kicked off the Spring 2026 semester by participating in a wide range of travel and experiential opportunities that reflect intentional education, faith in action, and meaningful real-world learning.
Spanning adventure, culture, service, and personal growth, these experiences supported our ongoing focus on shaping students who think critically and creatively, act with compassion, and pursue lives of purpose. Read on for a few highlights of the Beyond the Classroom trips offered to students this semester.

Adventure and Exploration
Students explored some of the country's most dynamic landscapes, from Florida's wetlands to the Southwest's desert terrain. These experiences encouraged curiosity, resilience, and an appreciation for God's creations while challenging students to step outside their comfort zones and learn through hands-on discovery.

Arts, Theatre, and Culture
In New York City, students engaged with the performing arts and cultural landmarks that define one of the world’s most creative cities. Broadway performances, theatre workshops, and time spent exploring historic neighborhoods offered powerful lessons in storytelling, expression, and cultural awareness.

Global History and Perspective
Adventures through London and Paris immersed students in centuries of history, art, and global influence. Walking through iconic landmarks and world-class museums transformed classroom learning into lived experience and helped students better understand the people, events, and ideas that have shaped our world.

Faith in Action and Service
Mission trips and service experiences placed faith at the center of learning. Whether serving alongside ministry partners in Costa Rica, supporting communities in Western Kentucky, or volunteering with local organizations through Serve the City Atlanta, students experienced what it means to live out Christ’s call to love and serve others.

Discovery, Purpose, and Calling
Local experiences, including Hometown Adventures and the Career Exploration Institute, invited students to reflect on their gifts, interests, and future paths. Through guided exploration and meaningful conversations, students gained clarity and confidence as they considered how their education connects to God’s purpose for their lives.

A Lasting Impact
Across every experience, these trips reflected what it means to be part of the Mount Pisgah community. Whether students were serving locally, exploring globally, or discovering new interests close to home, each opportunity reinforced our commitment to faith, intentional learning, and whole student formation. Together, these experiences show how the MPCS mission is lived out in meaningful ways, both within our community and beyond it.
For families exploring K-12 private schools and college prep options in Alpharetta and North Fulton, Mount Pisgah Christian School offers an approach to education that extends learning into the real world. As a metro-Atlanta independent school, we believe meaningful growth happens through experience, reflection, and purpose-driven learning. These moments beyond campus continue to shape students who are prepared academically, grounded in faith, and equipped to engage the world with confidence and compassion.
