Congratulations to the Class of 2026

CELEBRATING THE CLASS OF 2026

Spring Commencement Honors MCPS Graduates

Mount Pisgah Christian School held Commencement exercises Saturday, May 16, celebrating the graduation of the Class of 2026. Families, faculty, staff, and friends filled the space to honor a class distinguished by academic achievement, leadership, service, and deep involvement in school life.

Graduates will attend 41 colleges and universities across 16 states. Twenty-two students chose historically Christian universities, two earned appointments to the United States Military Academy at West Point, and one enlisted in the Army National Guard prior to entering military college training. Collectively, the class earned more than $8 million in scholarships.

Outstanding Performance

Academic recognition was a highlight of the event. One-third of the class qualified as AP Scholars, five students earned AP Scholar with Distinction honors, and six were named Georgia Scholars, a distinction awarded to just 323 seniors statewide.

During the ceremony, Upper School Principal Marie Woods presented several of the school's highest honors. Nine students received the Alpha to Omega Award, given to graduates who attended Mount Pisgah continuously from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Ellie Plunkett received both the Scholar Athlete Award and the inaugural President's Cup, a new honor recognizing a senior who best embodies the mission, vision, and values of Mount Pisgah Christian School. The Patriot Award, selected by faculty vote, went to Phoebe Coach.

Speaking directly to the senior class, Woods reflected on the impact of their time at Mount Pisgah, saying, “It’s where you've asked life's hardest questions, celebrated your biggest wins, endured your toughest losses, and met friends who will walk with you the rest of your life.”

Student Reflections

Valedictorian Sanjita Pon and Salutatorian Ellie Plunkett each addressed the class, reflecting on the friendships, growth, and faith that shaped their years at Mount Pisgah.

Plunkett encouraged classmates to embrace every season ahead, saying, “If there is anything we learned, it's that when we bravely show up and get involved, God will show out and guide our paths.”

Pon reflected on one phrase the class heard throughout senior year: “Be where your feet are.” She challenged classmates to stay present and intentional in the seasons ahead, reminding them that “the most important parts were the people we spent it with and how those very people have shaped us.”

Blessings for All to Come

The ceremony closed with a blessing sung over the graduates before the Class of 2026 officially received their diplomas.

Congratulations to the Mount Pisgah Christian School Class of 2026.
