4th Annual EduCarnival
At Mount Pisgah Christian School, we emphasize continuing education and professional development for our faculty and staff. To help with this, for the past four years, MPCS has hosted a unique peer-to-peer faculty professional development day called EduCarnival.
The day starts with an entire faculty assembly that intentionally sets the tone. Our teachers are asked to be fully present, seek out new community and to learn something new. From there, our teacher's split off and attend a variety of sessions hosted by their peers and learn about a wide range of spiritual, educational and developmental subjects.
This year we had a total of 30 faculty presenters across all of our divisions. Some of the sessions included “Leadership: Inspiring Confidence, Creating Culture”, “”Yes…And” How to Use Improv Skills to Improve Your Class”, and “Guiding Students in Responsible AI Use.”
EduCarnival is one of our school’s most impactful events and it wouldn't be possible without the help of the event organization team and faculty presenters. Thank you to Shannon Heotaky, Anisha Lewis, Ashley James and Janey Smith as well as each of our faculty presenters for making the 4th annual EduCarnival a success!
