Mount Pisgah Chorus and Orchestra students won big at the Southern Star Music Festival, a nationally recognized music festival where performance groups perform and are adjudicated by professional musicians.
Mount Pisgah sophomore Andrew Sawyer is exhibiting his artwork at the Anne O Art gallery in Buckhead. Andrew is featured as a Student Artist as part of the gallery's "BLOOM where you are planted" exhibit, which will run until April 25.
Mythili Kartik and Luke Marshall recently represented Mount Pisgah Christian School at the Georgia Independent School Association's regional spelling bee, held Feb. 9 at Cumberland Academy. Luke (6th grade) earned the top score in the school-level spelling bee, and Mythili Kartik (7th grade) earned the second-highest top score.
Head of School Ruston Pierce hosted a Meet and Greet event with current Mount Pisgah Christian School families on Feb. 15, 2017. During the two-hour event, Mr. Pierce discussed a wide variety of topics, such as his family, education and occupational background, educational philosophy, and his vision for Mount Pisgah. Congratulations to Mount Pisgah students Dani Moore and Trevor Grapenthin. Moore, a senior midfielder/forward, today signed with Furman University, and will continue her soccer career with the Paladins.
Grapenthin, a senior infielder, today signed with Covenant College, and will continue his baseball career with the Scots. Congratulations to both students.
Mount Pisgah senior Lucy Liu has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious 2016-17 Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology.
The competition, administered by Discovery Education, was launched in 1999 by the Siemens Foundation and seeks to recognize and hopefully build a strong pipeline for the nation's most promising scientists, engineers and mathematicians.
Mount Pisgah junior Jackson Grant was recently awarded Second Place in the 14th Annual Georgia High School Writing Contest, presented by Georgetown Club of Metro Atlanta.
