Ryan Livezey, Athletic Director of the Year

Congratulations to Mount Pisgah Athletic Director Ryan Livezey, winner of the 2022-23 Georgia Athletic Directors Association Athletic Director of the Year Award for Class A Division 1. Livezey was one of eight state-wide honorees (one for each class).

Earlier in the year, Livezey was named Athletic Director of the year for Class A Region, an honor bestowed upon him by his fellow region athletic directors.

“I am proud of Coach Livezey for receiving this award from his peers in recognition of his achievements at Mount Pisgah,” said Head of School Dr. Chris Harmon. “His expertise and dedication to serve our school have been instrumental to the success of our Athletic programs.”

Coach Livezey has served as Athletic Director at Mount Pisgah for five years and has been an educator for 26 years. During his tenure, MPCS has won 13 regional or area finals and four state championships.

Last year the school was honored with the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award. For the past two years, Mount Pisgah has been awarded the GHSA Regional Director’s Cup, which is determined by the cumulative achievements of the school’s teams within the region and in the GHSA playoffs.

“I am grateful to have the opportunity to provide a life-changing experience for our student-athletes and families here at Mount Pisgah,” said Coach Livezey. “Supporting coaches and student-athletes is at the heart of what we do every day.”

As Athletic Director, Coach Livezey is responsible for leading 46 athletic programs in Middle and Upper School, as well as the development of youth sports programs. Professionally, he has served as GHSA Region Vice-President (22-23) and GHSA Region Secretary (21-22).

Please join us in congratulating Coach Livezey!
