Signing Day

Wednesday, Mount Pisgah Christian School athletes Monet Dance, Erin Parker, and Madison Nichols signed contracts to continue their athletic careers with institutions of higher learning.

Senior Monet Dance signed to play basketball for William and Mary. Dance served as team captain all four years and she was named co-player of the year in her sophomore year.

"Monet made an immediate impact on our program as soon as she stepped on campus,” said Varsity Girls Basketball Coach Angela Crosby. “Not only by reaching over 1,000 points and with her skills on the court, but also with her leadership and her heart for others off the court. I know God will continue to bless her efforts through her senior year"

Senior Erin Parker signed to play softball at the University of North Carolina.

"A starter since her first year on the varsity softball team, Erin Parker has been an integral part of building the softball program into an annual state playoff contending team,” said Varsity Softball Coach Jamey Woods.

Parker won multiple all-region and all-state awards in her career, and this season’s awards are yet to be announced. She finished her varsity career with possibly the best offensive season in Mount Pisgah softball history with a .633 batting average, .705 on base percentage, six home runs, and only three strikeouts the entire season (23 games).

Senior Madison Nichols signed with the United States Military Academy at West Point to play soccer.

Nichols earned first team all-region honors in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. She was also named Positive Athlete Regional Winner of the 2022 season and was selected for the 2022 DiVarsity Georgia High School All-Star game.

"Madison has contributed to our program since day one as a freshman. She is incredibly hardworking and has always gone above and beyond for her teammates. Her skills are incredible, but her leadership is something that is truly irreplaceable. It has been an honor seeing her grow over the years,” said Coach Melanie Murphy

Congratulations to these three Patriots on their achievements and commitment to pursuing their athletic success at the next level! Please join us in congratulating these student athletes.
