Kindness Challenge in the Middle School

Over the past several weeks, Middle School students were invited to find ways to spread kindness in our school and beyond. This is the first year Mount Pisgah participated in the Kindness Challenge, an international effort with more than 32,000 schools participating.

The student Kindness Challenge Team’s ideas created opportunities for every Middle School student to be involved by:
  • Painting kindness rocks — Students will take rocks painted with positive messages to their spring break destinations, the local community, and different places on campus. Make sure to take a picture and we will mark all the locations on a map!
  • “Caught in the act of kindness” - Students entered their classmates into a drawing for each act of kindness they observed.
  • Created banners and posters promoting kindness across the Middle School
  • Posted encouraging messages on lockers and classroom doors
  • Made cards for nursing home residents

On morning and afternoon announcements, students promoted the kindness challenge and shared this verse each each day:
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
