Why do you love teaching or working at Mount Pisgah?
I choose to teach at Mount Pisgah because of its unwavering commitment to educating the whole child. We adapt to both the gifts and needs of each student -- spiritually, educationally, and socially. And as a teacher, I am always supported in finding the most effective ways to be this flexible and effective.
Who was the most influential teacher/coach/instructor when you were growing up? What was it about him/her that impacted you?
I was most influenced by the librarian, Mrs. Henderson. She taught me the joys of reading, and sent me home every week with a brown paper grocery bag filled with books. I hope my students leave my classroom with the same love for literature and how it can fill you.
What is your favorite moment/memory as a Mount Pisgah employee?
I've encountered some personal losses during my time at Mount Pisgah. During those times, I've been surrounded by the love, prayers, and support of my co-workers and my families. Mount Pisgah is truly a community of the faithful.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
Jeremiah 31:2 The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness. This verse has always spoken to me of God's grace and provision.
