Why do you love teaching or working at Mount Pisgah?

Mount Pisgah has been my family's community and home for the past 11 years. The Christ centered environment here at MP is very loving and personal. I started teaching here a few years ago and I've really enjoyed learning about the students individually and their interests. It's also lots of fun to watch their excitement when they are shown new art concepts and techniques. I can tell what they have connected with because they will continue to use that new information to create in their own time outside of school and show their work to me.

Who was the most influential teacher/coach/instructor when you were growing up? What was it about him/her that impacted you?

Mrs. Moak was my talented an inspiring art teacher. I had her all through my HS years. She encouraged me to pursue my passions and dream big!

What is your favorite moment/memory as a Mount Pisgah employee?

The LS art show. The kids were so excited to show off all of their hard work from the year! So many parents and students helped out with putting it together and it showed!

What is your favorite Bible verse?

2 Corinthians 12:8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
