Why do you love teaching or working at Mount Pisgah?
I love creating relationships with the students and families at Mount Pisgah. Our school is a community and I'm so lucky to be a teacher and a parent at Mount Pisgah.
Who was the most influential teacher/coach/instructor when you were growing up? What was it about him/her that impacted you?
My most influential teacher was my 6th grade reading and math teacher. She taught me that learning was fun and interactive and it was okay to approach things differently. She wore roller skates to class and engaged us with her lessons. I know she is the reason I love to wear costumes while I teach and never underestimate the power of fun and laughter in the classroom.
What is your favorite moment/memory as a Pisgah employee?
My favorite activity is the Patriot Tailgate at the PAC. All of the families come together to eat and fellowship and play and celebrate our school.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
Psalm 46:5 God is within her, she will not fall. This verse carried me throughout my diagnosis, treatment and recovery with Breast Cancer. A Mount Pisgah parent and friend, claimed this verse over me and it sustained me and encouraged me as a friend, mother, and teacher that God will not let me ever fall.
