Summer Algebra Academies

Summer Algebra Academies

What?
Summer Algebra Academies provide current and incoming MPCS students with opportunities to study specific troublesome topics in an effort to preview and review Algebra 1 and Geometry.

Who?
Summer Algebra Academies are available to rising geometry or Algebra 1 students. Academies are taught by middle school and high school math teachers.

Rising Algebra I should only attend Week 1 (July 18-21). Geometry students will benefit from attending both sessions.

Why?
This is an opportunity for students to:
  • Lessen the dreaded “summer slide”
  • Fill in gaps
  • Build confidence heading into the new school year
