Mount Pisgah Introduces Karen Brunke as New Director of Admissions

As part of our ongoing effort to seek out the best people to lead our school in all areas, we are thrilled to introduce Karen Brunke as our new Director of Admission.
Reporting to Head of School Ruston Pierce, Brunke now oversees operations of the school’s Office of Admission, the management of admission staff, and coordinates the processes for student recruitment and selection. In this role, Brunke is responsible for developing long-term goals and policies related to recruitment and retainment strategies, as well as overseeing strategic planning efforts while working closely with our marketing and communications office to promote Mount Pisgah in key demographic areas.
Brunke, who has served on the Mount Pisgah Board for the past 3 ½ years, brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, sales, community relations, events, public affairs and communications to Mount Pisgah. For the past 21 years, she has worked within The Coca-Cola Company, most recently as the Director of Marketing, Sales and Events for World of Coca-Cola where she led a team responsible for welcoming over 1.2 million guests from around the world each year as well as designing and delivering over 150 corporate or community events annually.
“To add a person with Karen’s experience and knowledge is an enormous win for Mount Pisgah,” Pierce said. “Karen will revolutionize how we approach admissions and marketing. Her knowledge of the school will be invaluable as will her thought processes toward engaging new families and retaining current families. Her business world connections will help us build partnerships so we can achieve our goal of becoming the best school we can be. I am thrilled to have her on our team.”
Prior to Coca-Cola, Brunke began her professional career at Hallmark Cards, Inc. in marketing, retail strategy and creative product development. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.
“Mount Pisgah holds a special place in our hearts as the school and community have been part of our family’s story for the past 15 years,” Brunke said. “It has been a privilege to serve the school as a Trustee and to now extend my service as the new Director of Admission. I am looking forward to partnering with the Admissions team, our dedicated administrative team, and talented teachers to welcome families and students desiring an outstanding college-preparatory education grounded in Christian faith and values.”
Karen and her husband, Dave, are the proud parents of Matt, a 2017 Mount Pisgah graduate. Karen and her family are members of North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, GA and reside in Roswell.
