Our guiding principles are the driving force behind everything we do at Mount Pisgah Christian School. We believe that Curiosity and Engagement lead to higher levels of thinking and that technology is one way to engage the minds of young people in learning and creating.


If you peek into a Mount Pisgah classroom, you’ll see students utilizing laptops, Chromebooks and iPads to document their learning, conduct research, take notes, share documents, and create videos and presentations.

Students entering the workforce in the 21st century need technology skills that will allow them to contribute to the success of businesses and organizations in a highly competitive, technological and global society. Therefore, we want to equip students with the skills they need to truly be “Life Ready” by introducing them to technology at incremental stages to develop highly-skilled students.

In the Lower School, grades K-2 have access to iPads in their classrooms, which they use to track their learning through creating videos or capturing images of their work. In Grades 3-4, students have access to a 1:1 Chromebook that stays in the classroom for learning activities such as building a digital portfolio and typing writing assignments.

In the Middle School, students are issued a Chromebook in our 1:1 Chromebook program, which allows them to develop foundational skills of responsibility, device management and document organization. Students also explore web-based tools for creation such as WeVideo to create videos, podcasts, and presentations.

By the time students enter the Mount Pisgah Upper School, they are ready to embrace the responsibility of bringing their own laptop to use for learning. Students are provided access to the Google G Suite, which they are familiar with from the Chromebooks, and they also have free access to Microsoft products to use for learning, such as using OneNote for note taking and research.

Technology is meaningfully integrated into the curriculum. Mount Pisgah believes that technology alone does not improve student learning—it is simply a tool to equip students with today’s ‘must have’ skills: collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking.
