Mount Pisgah Christian Preschool students engage with learning in a loving environment through interactive activities and play. With small classroom sizes, teachers prepare Preschool 3s and 4s students for the next stage of learning.
 
Children open a new world of discovery through technology and multi-sensory experiments. Students participate in Chapel, Atelier, music, P.E. and STEAM classes each week.

They grow in faith through chapel programs featuring singing and dancing and Bible curriculum. 

In the Atelier space, our Atelierista, or art specialist, provides a variety of creative experiences through music, clay, light and shadow, loose parts, paint, nature, movement and sound.

The half-day Preschool program emphasizes the importance of social and emotional development. Children alternate between structured teacher-led activities and free play. They sing and dance, listen to books, engage in sensory play, practice age-appropriate early literacy and math skills, do show-and-tell, and play outside on the playground.

Half-Day Programs offered:

Half-day Preschool:

• Begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. every day
• Does not have an option for early bird or stay-and-play
• Is a ten-month program. Summer camps are offered for 3s and 4s on campus in June and July.
• Has special classes one time per week. Special Classes are STEM, Atelier, music, PE, and chapel   
• Tuition is $8,500 per year. ($5,500 per year for 3-day program)
• Classrooms are not guaranteed to be located on the Academy floor
• Follows the Lower School Calendar

The Murray Academy is a full day preschool program for three-year-old and four-year-old students. The inaugural class of the Murray Academy will begin in the fall of 2023 with the opening of the state-of-the-art Stuart and Eulene Murray Academy, located on the Lower School campus of Mount Pisgah Christian School.

Curriculum and Schedule

In the Murray Academy, elements of formal instruction and curriculum will be introduced to strategically prepare children for school. Children will have substantial opportunities to focus on gross and fine motor skills and social and emotional development. Basic concepts in language arts, math, and science will be introduced in engaging activities and through the arts and experiments. In the Murray Academy, the majority of instruction is completed in the morning, followed by an afternoon that includes a designated lunchtime, snack time, and rest time.

  • Early Bird: 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
  • Stay and Play: 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Five days per week for ten months. Summer camps are offered for 3’s and 4’s on campus in June and July
• Has Special Classes twice weekly (Chapel, Atelier, music, PE, and STEAM)
• Tuition is $13,450 per year
• Early bird is $1,000 per year
• Stay-and-play is $3,000 per year
• Rooms are located in the New Murray Academy
