On Nov. 4, Mount Pisgah junior Bailey Overs placed 2nd at the Jiangsu Cup Chinese Speech Contest for High School Students in the Southern States.
Bailey competed by delivering a 5-minute presentation in Mandarin and answered three questions about his presentation by a panel of judges from the Confucius Institute at Emory University and Nanjing University, China.
Bailey is a level 4 Mandarin student at Mount Pisgah, taking courses through Georgia Online. Bailey credits his fellow Chinese classmates for encouraging him and supporting his preparation for the competition.
Upon graduation, Bailey hopes to pursue a education in International Business and Mandarin. Congratulations.
