What is your favorite memory of Pisgah?
My fondest Pisgah memory is a combination of many experiences that I have had and that my children have had with Mount Pisgah faculty and families that have created a place that feels like another home to us.
Why do you work at a school?
The reason that I choose to teach/work at a school is not only because I have a passion to teach, but also because I love the relationships that I have with kids and their families. I feel so fortunate to teach and to learn from children in our Mount Pisgah community. Having the opportunity to impact the lives of children intellectually and emotionally is a blessing that I truly value.
How do you reach children?
I do my best to reach children by listening to them and helping them to feel cared for in my classroom. I believe that students learn the most when they are comfortable and are willing to take risks and to try new things. It is important to me to create a classroom environment that allows children to feel safe and loved.
What is your favorite bible verse? I find comfort in verses that remind me to give my worries to Him. One of my favorites is Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
