Assistant Kindergarten Teacher
B.A. Elementary Education
Why do you love teaching or working at Mount Pisgah?
I love teaching because there is so much to life that is fun to learn about and explore. I want to show students how you can learn through exploration every single day!
Who was the most influential teacher/coach/instructor when you were growing up?
My parents were both educators and being around them and their friends (also teachers) really showed me how you can view the world around you in a variety of different ways and make a difference even if it is small. We all play a part!
What is your favorite moment/memory as a Pisgah employee?
One of my favorite moments at Mount Pisgah is seeing students at the end of the year have such confidence. Its the way they walk in the hall with their heads up, helping others without a second thought, or asking questions about what we are learning because they are hungry for more that gives me the biggest smile!
What is your favorite Bible verse?
"Let no one despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, and to teaching. I grew up with this verse and love that the meaning has started to shift. Now, I am teaching younger ones how they have a voice and can represent God though themselves." 1 Tim. 4:12-13
